Privacy Policy

In short: Secpar has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your scores, streaks and settings stay on your iPhone. After your first three days of play, the app shows ads from Google AdMob. They are non-personalised: you are not tracked across other apps or websites, and the app never asks for permission to track you. Buying Remove Ads turns every ad off.
Who we are
Secpar is made by Paul Elderton, based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law. Contact: support@secpar.app.
What stays on your device
The game keeps its own data on your iPhone only: daily results, Arcade bests, your streak and history, your warm-up timing, your chosen skin, skin tries, and your settings (sound, control style, reminders). Some of it is shared between the Secpar app and its iMessage extension on the same device. We never receive any of it. It is removed when you delete the app, and is otherwise included in your normal iPhone or iCloud backup, which Apple handles.
Duels in Messages
A duel is sent as an ordinary iMessage between you and the people in the conversation, carrying the targets and your score. It travels through Apple's Messages service like any other message. We do not receive it.
Reminders
If you turn on daily reminders, they are scheduled on your iPhone as local notifications. There is no push service and no server involved.
Purchases
Remove Ads and skins are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details or Apple ID. The app checks what you own using Apple's StoreKit on your device.
Advertising
After your first three days of play, Secpar shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a short video you can choose to watch for a 1UP or to try a skin, and an occasional full-screen ad between Arcade runs or when you leave a screen. Ads never appear during play.
- Non-personalised only. Every ad request asks Google for non-personalised ads. Ads may reflect general context such as the app and your coarse location, but not a profile of you.
- No tracking. Secpar does not use Apple's advertising identifier and never shows the "Allow app to track" prompt.
- Family-friendly. Ad content is limited to Google's "G" (general audiences) rating.
To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's software in the app collects information such as your device type and operating system, an app-specific identifier, your IP address (used for coarse location), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic data. This is not linked to your identity by us, and we do not receive it in a form that identifies you. Google explains how it uses this information at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and in its Privacy Policy.
Your consent (UK and EEA)
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, Google's consent message is shown before any ad, and the app only requests ads if your choices allow it. You can change your choices at any time from AD PRIVACY on the Secpar home screen. Ad storage and access on your device rely on your consent; fraud prevention and ad measurement rely on legitimate interests, as described in Google's consent message.
Children
Secpar is rated 4+ and is suitable for everyone. We collect no personal information ourselves, ads are non-personalised with no tracking, and ad content is limited to general audiences.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data and to object to its use. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to provide or delete; your game data is on your device and deleting the app removes it. For data held by Google in connection with ads, see Google's Privacy Policy. You can also contact us at support@secpar.app, and you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
